George Llewellyn left England in 1890 or 1891 and spent a few years in Springfield, Mass.before heading west on a bicycle and ending up in Montana. He became a U.S. citizen around 1900. He married my grandmother Jan. 1,l902.

Text:   hi - i'm the margaret crichton born ladbury daughter of robert george ladbury and you have my dad , my mum, my sister,my children and of course my dad's family - we know ray and richard ( dick) was my godfather - my son david found you when he had to do a powerpoint for a class project what a shock to find himself right now is very busy and my dad is away however we are meeting at christmas so will correspond then. the bsic story is my dad grew up in melton mowbray and then leamington spa, was a lancaster bomber pilot during the war and as a result trained with the common wealth training program which was on the prairies here in canada - after the war he worked for marks and spencers in leamington spa and in 1957 we emigrated to kamloops in british columbia in 1957. he worked for the hudsons bay company and then was in real estate and life insurance til he retired at 51 and he and my mum travelled all over the world - back pack and lonely planet guide for years - over europe, asia, latin america - my mum died suddenly in may and right now my dad is on his own ( at 82) in myanmar still with the back pack and lonely planet guide ... doing what they always did - he now lives in victoria and i am expecting him back on dec 18. he has met sarah ladbury ray's daughter and he went to the original farmhouse of his great uncle who took the acorns from windsor castle just before he emigrated to tasmania and hence the line of oaks on the driveway - my dad also met someone in australia - my sister christine lives in australia - who he shared information with - i think that is how you may have got our names and how he has a copy of some of his great uncles letters ... he has a pic of his dad alfred george ladbury - ray is very sick ... this is so fun to be finding all this info about the family - you know i think dick (richard) gave him a copy of some of our family tree stuff and he has some photographs of the ladbury home in melton mowbray... they were in the car business and tackle and stuff for the fox hunting scene - apparently edward the 7th used the ladbury privy in melton when nature called during a fox hunt.... anyway i will email my dad about this - he will be delighted - and sometime over christmas i will work on it with him and we will figure out where you fit in relative to us... it is great having an unual name - this lot is as you have probably figured out the whole feckenham group
